President's Message

An Important Message From Our Chairman of the Board and President & CEO

Dear Friends,

Courage is an attribute we find daily in the stories of the vulnerable children we serve. We see it when a child puts on a hopeful smile in the face of their greatest challenge. We see it in a young adult as they commit to a new opportunity to break the cycles imposed upon them. We see it as a young mother channels her bravery to be the backbone of support that her children need. Every day, we see uncertainty faced with immeasurable strength.

It is through the examples of those we serve that we channel our courage to face this time of uncertainty together. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has altered our way of life on a global scale, we remain locally committed to being proactive and responsive to the effect it is already having on our community and those most in need.

In the midst of school closures adding to childcare costs, cuts in hours creating shortages in rent and food budgets, and rushes on stores now lacking essentials like water, diapers, and formula, our Emergency Needs Program has become as critical as ever.

Because we must acknowledge our responsibility to the health and safety of community partners like you, we have postponed all public meetings, campaigns, fundraisers, and events until further notice. With a resounding belief that we will come back stronger as a community with spirit to match the courage of those we serve, we appreciate you adapting to this shift with us.

In the meantime, as we know that thousands of children rely on Children’s Fund throughout this season, we hope you will consider the impact that each and every gift can have in filling the gap for them at this time.

Please join us as we unite as a community to provide the necessary relief to local children and families who will otherwise not have the resources they need to be safe, stable, and secure in these rapidly evolving conditions.

Donations to the COVID-19 Relief Fund can be made below, by phone at 909.379.0000, or mailed to 348 W. Hospitality Lane, Suite 110, San Bernardino, CA 92408.

On behalf of the children we serve, thank you for remembering and believing in them. We look forward to continuing to build brighter futures together, one step at a time.
